Description
Description of work and locations have changed. Please see attached. RECOVERY--The Corps of Engineers has a need for a contract to Completely remove and replace all roofing materials as follows: Complete removal and replacement of all roofing materials on 1 to 2 buildings at each Lock and Dam facility on the Allegheny River at Locks and Dam 4 and 5, and 3 buildings at Braddock Locks and Dam on the Monongahela River. All roofs are flat roofs consisting of membrane roofing systems, both ballasted and non-ballasted. Work shall include complete removal of all existing roofing materials, flashing and other items, and installing new modified bitumen roofing system, complete with all required flashing, and other appurtenant work. Mahoning Creek Lake Resource Managers Offices includes removal and replacement of asphalt shingles, flashing, gutters and downspouts on two buildings Conemaugh River Lake Dam Area Restroom includes removal and replacement of asphalt shingles, flashing, gutters and downspouts The period of performance will be 120 calendar days. Magnitude of the project is between $250,000 to $500,000. This procurement will be 100% set-aside for SBA Certified HUBZone firms (certification as HUBZone concern is made through the US Small Business Administration). The Invitation for Bid (IFB) will be issued approximately July 20, 2009 on-line only through the Federal Business Opportunities website; therefore, requests for hardcopies of the specifications and drawings will not be honored. Requests must be made by registering for this solicitation at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. Once registered, vendors, plan rooms and printing companies will be able to download the solicitation and drawings on or after the above issuance date.
