- Description
- Sole Source Justification U.S. Customs and Border Protection intends to issue a sole source award to Fargo Manufacturing Company for fourteen (14) complete auxiliary fuel tank systems (P/N A-1066-1082-A) and nine (9) provisional kits (P/N A-1066-1082-A-PROV) for the MD500 aircraft that will conform to the Type Certification Data Sheet No. H3WE. The reason for the sole source award is because Fargo Manufacturing Company holds the supplemental type certificate (STC) license and parts manufacturer approval (PMA) for the 369 series aircraft. They have all of the necessary tools and equipment needed to manufacture and support the auxiliary fuel tanks. Fargo Manufacturing Company meets the requirements of the applicable 14 CFR Federal Aviation Regulations Part 21 (Certification of Parts), Part 23 (Certification of Aircraft) and Part 43 (Maintenance) Part 145 (Repair Station) to maintain the airworthy condition of the part.
