- RECOVERY--The Corps of Engineers has a need for a contract to reroof Various Buildings, Berlin Lake, Michael J. Kirwan Dam, Shenango River Lake, and Kinzua Dam. The work is located at Berlin Lake, Berlin Center OH; Michael J. Kirwan Dam, Wayland, OH; Shenango River Lake, Hermitage, PA; Kinzua Dam, Warren, PA. Work involves complete removal and replacement of all roofing materials as follows: Berlin Lake Maintenance Complex includes removal and replacement of asphalt shingles and built-up roofing, gutters and downspouts on two buildings Michael J. Kirwan Dam Resource Managers office includes removal and replacement of asphalt shingles, flashing, gutters and downspouts Shenango Dam Pylon building includes removal and replacement of membrane roof with modified bitumen roofing Kinzua Dam Maintenance building includes removal and replacement of standing seam metal roof, gutters and downspouts. The period of performance will be 180 calendar days. Magnitude of the project is between $250,000 to $500,000. This procurement will be 100% set-aside for SBA Certified HUBZone firms (certification as HUBZone concern is made through the US Small Business Administration). The Invitation for Bid (IFB) will be issued approximately July 27, 2009 on-line only through the Federal Business Opportunities website; therefore, requests for hardcopies of the specifications and drawings will not be honored. Requests must be made by registering for this solicitation at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. Once registered, vendors, plan rooms and printing companies will be able to download the solicitation and drawings on or after the above issuance date.
