Description
RECOVERY ACT - The Syracuse VA Medical Center, Syracuse NY 13210, has a construction requirement for Project No. R528A7-09-714 REPLACE SYRACUSE ROOFS, PHASE IVThe proposed contract will encompass work TO PROVIDE ALL LABOR MATERIALS AND TOLLS TO INSTALL NEW EPDM ROOFING PER SPECIFICATIONS AND DRAWINGS POSTED. A CRANE WILL BE NEEDED TO ACCESS ROOF AREA TO BE RE-ROOFED. IT IS ESTIMATED THAT THERE WILL BE A 30 DAY SUBMITTAL PERIOD AND PERFORMANCE PERIOD OF 10 WORKING DAYS FOR EACH ROOF AWARDED. North American Industrial Classification Standard (NAICS) code assigned to this construction project is 238160 with a small business size standard of $14.0 million. The estimated cost range for this project is $250,000 to $500,000. THIS PROCUREMENT IS A COMPETATIVE 100% SET ASIDE TO SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESS (SDVOB) CONTRACTORS. Award will be made on a competitive basis under Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) 15 to a responsible SDVOSB responding to this solicitation. The SDVOSB contractor is required to perform a minimum of 25% of the construction work on the project. This does not include paperwork, submittals, etc. The SDVOB must be small under relevant NAICS code and must be registered and verified in the following websites: www.vip.vetbiz.gov; www.ccr.gov; https://orca.bpn.gov and https://vets100.vets.dol.gov/ to be eligible for award. Offers must ensure their registrations are updated, correct, and have not expired. Information regarding the one and only site visit scheduled will be stated in the solicitation. Bond information: A 20% Bid bond must be submitted with bid. Performance bond and payment bond will be required from the contractor receiving award. This solicitation will be posted on or about JULY 23, 2009 at the Federal Business Opportunities (Fedbizopps) website www.fedbizopps.gov Paper solicitations will not be issued, contractors must obtain solicitation, drawings, and amendments (if issued) from this website. Amendments will not be mailed but will also be posted at the Fedbizopps website. Offerors are reminded they are responsible for obtaining and acknowledging all amendments to the solicitation prior to the time for proposal submission. Proposals are due no later than 2 pm EST on 8/20/2009 at the Department of Veterans Affairs, SYRACUSE VA MEDICAL CENTER, 800 Irving Ave, Syracuse NY 13221, Building TWO, Suite D.
