Description
RECOVERY--This solicitation is made by the US Army Corps of Engineers Seattle District, for work to be performed on the vessel Puget. The requirement is to dry-dock and repower the M/V PUGET, under FY09 Stimulus Act. The M/V PUGET is a 30ftx104ft steel hull debris vessel and the sole debris vessel for Seattle District. Work will involve dry-docking, removing the existing dirty air diesels engines and transmissions and replacing them with new tier 2 electronic controlled diesel engines and transmissions. New engines will help to better meet emission standards and be more efficient. At same time, vessels hull will be cleaned, inspected and re-painted. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 336611 with a size standard of 1,000 employees. This procurement is 100% set aside for small business (See Note 27). For the purposes of this procurement, a concern is considered a small business if its number of employees did not exceeded the annual average of 100 employees, taken for the last 3 fiscal years. Pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), the solicitation will be available for download no earlier than 15 days following the posting of this synopsis. Pursuant to FAR, the response date of the solicitation is no earlier than 30 days from the date of the solicitation release date. The solicitation due date will be noted on the solicitation at the time of issue. There is no technical information available until the issue of the solicitation via the Internet.
