- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, in conjunction with FAR 13.5, as applicable, and as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; bids are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is 7439 and is issued as an invitation for bids (IFB), unless otherwise indicated herein. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular FAC 2005-31. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 333293 with a small business size standard of 500.00 employees. This requirement is unrestricted and only qualified offerors may submit bids. The solicitation pricing on www.FedBid.com will start on the date this solicitation is posted and will end on 2009-07-16 15:30:00.0 Eastern Time or as otherwise displayed at www.FedBid.com. FOB Destination shall be Washington, DC 20401 The Government Printing Office requires the following items, Exact Match Only, to the following: LI 001, Roach Model 196CDLR, (Chain Driven Live Roller) Conveyor:-6'-8" long,39" Conveying surface, and 42" between frames, with 5" center drive rollers and gap roller and gap roller guards for a 2.5" effective roller centers-MC-TEFC-1/2hp-230v/460v/3-45 fpm, left hand, underneath motor.-Butt end stop located at discharge end.-Top of roller elevation is 34"-With provisions for one VBT-2, V-Belt transfer @ discharge end.-Bundles to transferred are 12" wide by 12" tall, and can vary in length up to 36" maximum.Design weight assumed to vary from 50 to 125 pounds.-No supports will be provided, as customer wishes to use his own Weight Legs., 1, EA; LI 002, Model VBT2 - 90 Degree 2-strand v-belt transfer: -3'-2" long, 2 strands, 8" centers, 1" of positive lift.-Center drive-VBT-1/2HP-45FPM-MC-TEFC 1/2HP-230V/3 Motor, 45RPM, Reversible, left hand.-Two integral supports for 33.5" lowered elevation & raised elevation.-Bundles to be transferred are 12" tall, and can vary in length up to 36" maximum. Design weight assumed to vary from 50 to 125 pounds., 1, EA; LI 003, Model 192CDLR-Medium Duty Chain driven live roller Conveyor:-6'-3" long, 21" Between Frames, 5" roller centers with gap rollers and gap roller guards for a 2.5" effective roller center.-CD-192CDLR-1/2hp-21"/45 FPM, Underneath mounted, left hand drive.-MC-TEFC-1/2hp-230v/460v/3 reversible left hand motor, 45 Feet per minute.-(2) SM6-21" Medium Duty Supports.-In feed top of roller elevation of 34"-Discharge top of roller elevation of 34"-Bundles to be transferred are 12" wide by 12" tall, and can vary in length up to 36" maximum. Design weight assumed to vary from 50 to 125 pounds., 1, EA; LI 004, Model 450BOS-Box Style Slider Bed Belt Conveyor with round end plates:-4'-0" long, 16" overall width, 12" wide black PVC-120 belt.-Right Hand Underneath Drive, 45 feet per minute.-MC-TEFC-1/2hp, 230v/460v/3.-(2)SM-6-13 Adjustable supports, for an In-feed and discharge top of belt elevation of 34.5"-Bundles to be transferred are 12" wide by 12" tall, and can vary in length up to 36" maximum. Design weight assumed to vary from 50 - 125 pounds., 1, EA; For this solicitation, Government Printing Office intends to conduct an online competitive reverse auction to be facilitated by the third-party reverse auction provider, FedBid, Inc. FedBid has developed an online, anonymous, browser based application to conduct the reverse auction. An Offeror may submit a series of pricing bids, which descend in price during the specified period of time for the aforementioned reverse auction. Government Printing Office is taking this action in an effort to improve both vendor access and awareness of requests and the agency's ability to gather multiple, competed, real-time bids. All responsible Offerors that respond to this solicitation MUST submit the pricing portion of their bid using the online exchange located at www.FedBid.com. There is no cost to register, review procurement data or make a bid on www.FedBid.com. Offerors that are not currently registered to use www.FedBid.com should proceed to www.FedBid.com to complete their free registration.
