- Description
- The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), Plant Division has a construction requirement for approximately 2,400 gsf, high-bay building extension to Building 302, to include site work, foundations, building and shell and associated utilities. Concurrent installation of a new 3,500T chiller and associated pumps, piping, valves and filtration for the expanded chilled water generation capacity, and fully integrated into an existing 24/7 operating central plant delivering chilled water service to the NIST campus. The chiller equipment and it’s associated transformer gear are government furnished contractor installed(GFCI) External site construction and installation of the 3,500T cooling towers, basin with pumps, electric service building and transformer yard, and underground utility systems to support new chiller systems. The standard classification NAICS code is 236220, Commercial and Institutional Construction. With a small business size standard of $33.5 million. THIS WILL BE A SMALL BUSINESS SET ASIDE. A detailed Statement of Work and drawings will be available upon request when the solicitation is issued. No drawings or Statement of Work will be made public until the solicitation has been issued. The period of performance will be 180 calendar days from the date of contract award. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. The competitive solicitation, solicitation amendments and all questions and answers relating to this procurement shall be made available via the Internet at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. The solicitation is anticipated for release to the vendor community on or about July 15, 2009, and will only be available on FEDBIZOPPS at the above website. Potential offerors are responsible for accessing the website for all information regarding the solicitation. Interested parties must respond to the solicitation in order to be considered for award of any resultant contract. NIST will not mail paper copies of the request for proposal or any affiliated documents. No telephone requests will be honored and no bidder lists will be maintained.
