Description
Solicitation A.Description: This project involves the following work: 1.Foundation site excavation, compacted backfill, concrete foundation, cabin floor support joists, and exterior deck in full accordance with the drawings and contract provisions. 2.An option that includes hauling 75 cubic yards of Government furnished aggregate to the site, placing and compacting. Finished grade of aggregate shall be 8 inches below top of foundation stem wall. Aggregate shall be out-sloped from foundation and blend into existing shoulder of rock pad. Grade of aggregate shall be a maximum of 5 percent. Government furnished aggregate is located approximately 6.8 miles from the site in the Pat’s Quarry, a short distance from Milepost 11.1, Zimovia Highway. 3.The option also includes hauling, spreading and compacting shot rock. Shot rock is available 0.3 miles away from the site in the existing quarry on Road 50060. 15 cubic yards of pit run shot rock shall be spread and compacted to expand the existing pad at the back of the pad. The area where the shot rock is to be spread will be identified on the ground by the Contracting Officer. An additional 20 cubic yards of shot rock shall be hauled, spread, and compacted on the fill slopes of the existing pad to create a fill slope of 1 vertical/2 horizontal. When work is complete on the slopes, rock on the surface of treated fill slopes shall be less than 6” in size. Existing pad fill slopes between Rd. 50060 and the cabin foundation do not require finishing. The Contracting Officer shall identify on the ground approximately 60 lineal feet of fill slope at the back of the site that shall require finishing. 4.Mobilization of equipment to perform the work.
