Description
THIS NOTICE CONSTITUTES AMENDMENT NO. 001 TO THECOMBINED SYNOPSIS/RFQ FOR 12.5GHZPATTERN GENERATOR. Companies shall acknowledge all amendment(s) in their quote. Thisnotice serves as the official amendment to subject synopsis/RFQ and a written amendmentwill not be issued.The purpose of this amendment is to answer the following vendor questions:Q1) Are you looking for an item with Jitter Injection capability?A1) Jitter Injection is not a requirement.Q2) Are you looking for a refurbished item or a brand new item? A2) New or refurbished. Whichever one provides the best overall value to the government. Q3) What are you testing?A3) We are using this to generate pseudorandom bit stream (PRBS), or user's definedpattern for laser ranging and altimetry applications. This also will be used for lasercommunication testing.The unit should also have built in PRBS with N=7, 23 and 31. Q4) What mainframe you want to use?A4) It should be a self contained unit without having to use a main frame. The unitshould also be capable of interfacing with laboratory computers via GPIB or USB and canbe controlled via PCs with programs such as LabView.Q5) What is the specific bandwidth range you are looking for -.1 to 12.5 GHZ or 9.8 to12.5 GHZ?A5) Minimum Bandwidth range: 0.75 to 12.5 GHz.The due date for receipt of offers is not extended.Companies shall provide the information stated in the synopsis/RFQ posted on the NASAAcquisition Internet Service (NAIS) on July 6, 2009. Documents related to thisprocurement are available over the Internet. These documents reside on a World Wide Web(WWW) server which may be accessed using a WWW browser application.
