- Description
- The U. S. Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Service, Midwest Area, has a project entitled Repair Greenhouse #401 Stub Wall at USDA-ARS-MWA, Cereal Disease Lab (CDL), St. Paul, MN, MI. The work includes but is not limited to: furnishing all labor, supervision, materials, tools, equipment, transportation, and other necessary work for repairing the deteriorated masonry stub wall of Greenhouse #401 and the furnishing and application of new protective coating on interior and exterior of the masonry stub wall. The scope of the work includes, but is not limited to, removal of existing coatings on stub wall; the removal and replacement of selected portions of the stub wall; tuck pointing to restore existing masonry joints; and the application of new protective coatings on restored masonry wall. The project will include a base bid and a bid option. The total period of performance is 90 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed (NTP). The Magnitude of Construction is estimated between $100,000 to $200,000. SET-ASIDE: This acquisition will be procured as a full and open competition under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. All responsible Businesses may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. The NAICS code is 238140 and the annual size standard is 14 million. This is an Invitation for Bid (IFB) and incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-33. Solicitation No. AG-5114-S-09-AA16 is scheduled for uploading on or about July 27, 2009. The solicitation will be posted on the FedBizOpps website at www.fedbizopps.gov. No paper copies of the solicitation will be issued. It is the responsibility of the contractor to check the website for the solicitation, as well as any amendments that may arise. A pre-bid site visit will be scheduled and information provided in the solicitation package. It is highly recommended and strongly encouraged that all prospective bidders visit the project site, inspect and observe the site conditions, and review the project scope and requirements at the site prior to submission of a bid. This will be the only opportunity to visit the job site prior to submission of bid. Bids will be due by 2:00 PM on August 27, 2009. A firm-fixed price contract will be awarded. Contractors are required to register or update their registration at the Central Contractor Registration website at www.ccr.gov in order to receive a contract award under this solicitation, and register or update their registration at the Online Representation and Certification Application website at http://orca.bpn.gov.
