- Recovery TAS::14 0681::TAS The Bureau of Reclamation intends to issue a Invitation for Bids for a firm fixed price construction contract for replacement of the New Melones Powerplant Fire Suppression Systems in the Oil Storage and Oil Purifier Rooms. The New Melones Powerplant is on the Stanislaus River, about 60 miles upstream from its confluence with the San Joaquin River and 40 miles east of Stockton. The river forms the boundary between Calaveras and Tuolumne Counties. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 238220 and the related small business size standard is $14.0M. The solicitation will include HUBZone Price Evaluation Preference procedures as described in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 19.1307. The principal components of work are as follows: A. Removing existing sliding fire doors, carbon dioxide (CO2) fire protection systems, fire dampers, and associated ductwork.B. Furnishing and installing firestopping materials.C. Furnishing and installing replacement sliding fire doors.D. Designing, furnishing, and installing clean agent fire protection systems.E. Designing, furnishing, and installing automatic fire detection.F. Designing, furnishing, and installing fire dampers and associated ductwork.G. Designing, furnishing, installing, and testing electrical systems including wiring and conduit for a new fire detection, suppression and alarm system for the oil storage area in the powerplant. 1. Designing, furnishing, installing, and testing fire detection and notification devices. 2. Interfacing with and providing power for a new fire suppression release panel. The estimated cost of this project is between $250K and $500K. This procurement will require 100% performance and payment bonds. Solicitation R09PS20R12 will be posted at http://ideasec.nbc.gov on or around July 27, 2009. The estimated date for receipt of proposals is August 26, 2009. The solicitation and specifications must be downloaded at the above site, with the drawings being mailed to you by hardcopy. No paper copy of this solicitation will be distributed with the exception of the drawings. In order to register on the Bidder's Mailing List to receive the drawings, you must register by clicking on the solicitation number and then select the "Vendor Interest" tab taking the following steps: 1) click on the Vendor Interest Tab; 2) enter DUNS number; 3) enter Password or Tax ID Number. Central Contractor Registration (CCR) and Annual Representations and Certifications, as required by FAR 4.1102, apply to this procurement. Prospective contractors must be registered prior to award. Lack of registration in the CCR database will make an offeror ineligible for award. Information on CCR registration can be obtained via the Internet at http://www.ccr.gov. Information on annual Representations and Certifications can be obtained via the Internet at http://orca.bpn.gov. **Please note** You will not be able to register on the Bidder's Mailing List until the solicitation is posted.
