- The VA National Acquisition Center is issuing Request for Information (RFI) VA-797-09-RI-0117 for the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Great Lakes Consolidated Mail Outpatient Pharmacy (CMOP) to identify potential sources which manufacture a fully automated single prescription bottle packaging system which will de-puck completed prescription bottles coming off an existing CMOP conveyor line, print requisite patient literature, fold the literature that is printed, and insert the prescription bottle, folded literature and a single envelope into a pouch that meets requirements of the United States Postal System for mailing of prescriptions to patients. The system must incorporate automatic pouch printing and feeding, as well as product loading into these pouches with full verification to include a final weighing of the pouch and its contents. The system procured by the VA will be fully integrated with the existing software platform utilized by the CMOP, therefore interface specifications for the integration would be expected. In addition, please include any information if you presently offer this system on a current GSA Federal Supply Schedule contract. NAICS Code 333993 and Small Business Size Standard 500 employees are applicable to determine business size standard. No solicitation is currently published, pending, or available.
