Question: To lower actuator cost, we could eliminate the stringent cleaning andpackaging process spelled out by two line items below. The materials and lubricationused on positioning stages will meet outgassing criteria outlined on specificationsdocument posted on July 7, 2009. NASAs internal vacuum group may be performing thesesame cleaning procedures after receiving stages and duplicating efforts may addunnecessary cost. Can you please let me know whether or not we should include this extra cleaning andpackaging process?Perhaps we could quote as an optional line item instead?1) Assembly Cleanliness procedure per MEL03-009 & MEL99-0122) After assembly part wrapped in.015 UHV foil, then wrapped in ULO Poly bag.
