Description
This notice invites Prequalification proposals (not price proposals) for expansion of the Atlanta, GA – L&DC. The work includes, but is not limited to, providing temporary exterior partition walls and interior dust barrier protection, removal of existing exterior load bearing and interior non-load bearing walls, including door frames and hardware, removal of existing exterior concrete slab-on-grade, removal of existing concrete curb and gutter at drive, removal of existing lights, miscellaneous conduit and wire. Provide expansion joints in existing roof system. Provide new structural truss girders, columns, and footings. Provide new concrete slab-on-grade. Provide new prefinished exterior insulated metal wall panels. Provide new egress doors and hardware. Cut new openings in exterior concrete wall panels for new dock doors and related dock equipment. Provide concrete trash platform “finger dock”. Modify existing concrete drive, including curb gutter around “finger dock.” Clean existing and provide new asphalt plank floor. Paint interior walls and columns. Modify existing fire alarm control panel and connect to FSS machines. Add or relocate fire alarm devices as required. Provide CCTV surveillance cameras. Provide fiber optic and Cat. 6 telecommunication cable, patch panels and patch cords. Provide compressed air piping, fittings, and valves and make connections FSS machines and to existing compressed air system. Provide new computer room air conditioner, including condenser, piping ductwork, diffusers, and controls for electronic equipment serving the FSS machines. Provide electrical power requirement for each FSS system, including switchgear breakers, transformers, UPS system, panels, feeders, switches, outlets, conduit & wire. Provide new task lighting fixtures controlled by occupancy sensors, including related conduit, and wire. Relocate existing emergency lights and light fixtures as required. Extend existing wet pipe, overhead sprinkler system into new building addition. Budget Cost Estimate: $4,500,000 - $5,000,000 Construction time: 135 calendar days Minimum Requirements There are minimum requirements for this solicitation; failure to comply with the minimum requirements will be cause for disqualification: Experience: The Firm should have a minimum of 5 years experience in commercial construction. Experience includes the offeror's history of completing projects in a timely manner, providing quality workmanship, timely payment of subcontractors, and suppliers, developing a successful partnership with the owner and/or owner's representative, and safety record as determined by their EMR rating. Experience should also include familiarity with local building, zoning and permit requirements, and restrictions within the geographical area. Minimum Years in Business: Your company must have been in business, under the firm's present name, for a minimum of five (5) consecutive years. Financial Capability: The successful offeror must demonstrate the ability to provide appropriate bonding and sufficient insurance as required by this solicitation. Financial capability includes the offeror's satisfactory working relationship with a financial institute and surety agency. Capacity/Resources: The successful offeror must demonstrate sufficient in-house resources to successfully complete a minimum of 12% of the work before subcontracting when considering their present workload. Provide an organizational chart. Identify and provide a resume for persons, who will be assigned to this contract. Safety: Contractors must have an EMR (Experience Modification Ratio) of less than 1.0 to be considered. To obtain a Prequalification packaged email Leslie Martin @ leslie.l.martin@usps.gov. This is the only Prequalfication package that will be accepted. Only offers returned via personal hand delivery and/or US Postal Service (First Class Mail, Express Mail and Priority Mail) will be considered in compliance with this solicitation.
