- Description
- This acquisition award is a delivery order issued against Indefinite Delivery -Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract FA4801-08-D-0003. The work to be performed will be to replace and install 24 overhead power transmission poles. The power line will be on 45 foot Class III poles with three phase 350 MCM wire with lightning protection (providing vertical construction where practicable) from the main substation to the north area substation at Holloman Air Force Base (HAFB), NM. Old underground wire feeds will be removed and replaced with two 350 MCM parallel runs. The power lines existing poles, cross-arms, and other items not re-used shall be removed and disposed of off HAFB. The time line imposed on the acquisition office to accomplish this construction requirement necessitated the use of an existing single-source Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract.
