- This procurement (Sealed Bid) is to Relocate Building Main Power Distribution Switchgear, Hampton Veteran Administration Medical Campus, Hampton, Virginia. This contract shall include general construction, alterations, asphalt, curb and sidewalk patching/paving, grading, excavated area backfill and re-seeding, drainage, medium & low voltage electrical work, new ductbanks, elevated electrical switchgear concrete platform, conduits, 3 transformer pads, 1 automatic transfer switch pad, relocate existing substation #151 and main distribution panel to new elevated concrete platform, new man-holes, perform an existing condition structural survey for building #48 prior to pre-drilling & pile driving, Dynamic Pile Driving and Observation Report is required, driven piles, vibration and seismic on site monitoring of Building #48 (chapel) during pile driving. Removal of the existing main switchgear and feeders and certain other items required to install the new main switchgear at the new location. The construction cost limit is $4,500,000.00. The contract duration is 270 day from notice to proceed. The site visit is scheduled for 27 July 2009, 10:00am at Veteran Administration Medical Campus, Hampton, Virginia. The receipt date for bids is 25 AUGUST 2009 by 2:00pm. THIS IS A SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN SET-ASIDE PROCUREMENT. NAICS CODE 238210 applies to this procurement. Submission requirements (plans/specs) will be available on/about 25 JULY 2009 via Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps, https://www.fbo.gov). Search on W91236% for solicitations issued by Norfolk District. No hard copies will be available. Prospective contractors must be registered Vendors with https://www.fbo.gov in order to download plans and specifications. Prospective contractors must be registered in the DOD Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database in order to obtain access to FedBizOpps. CCR Registration must also be active and current to be eligible for contract award.
