- Solicitation Number: VA-69D-09-RA-0415 Notice Type: Pre-solicitation Synopsis: RECOVERY ACT PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE for the Window Replacement Project at the North Chicago VA Medical Center, North Chicago, IL. This opportunity is available only to SDVOSB construction firms. Contractor shall provide for and furnish all labor, superintendence, materials, tools, equipment, insurance, temporary protection, and other items designated under the provisions of this contract to Window Replacement, Project Number 556-09-109, as outlined in the contract specifications and as shown on the contract drawings. In accordance with Public Law 109-461, the Veterans Benefits, Healthcare and Information Technology Act of 2006, Pursuant to 38 USC 8127(d), this construction project is set-aside for Service-Disabled-Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSBs). All prospective contractors must be registered on the VetBiz website, http://www.vetbiz.gov, to be considered for award. The solicitation will be posted on FedBizOpps. To request CD containing specifications and drawings send an email to the person(s) identified in the solicitation. There may be a pre-construction conference held for this project, if the engineer would like to have one and all prospective bidders are encouraged to attend. Details of any pre-construction conference will be included in the solicitation packages. The solicitation will be issued on or about July 27, 2009 with the bid opening on or about August 26, 2009. The bidder is responsible to monitor and download any amendments from FedBizOpps https://www.fbo.gov/index?cck=1&au=&ck= which may be issued to this solicitation. The project magnitude range is $2,000,000 - $5,000,000. The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) for this procurement is 236220; size standard $33.5 Million applies. Time for completion is 360 days after Notice to Proceed. In accordance with FAR 52.204-7, Required Central Contractor Registration and in accordance with FAR 2.101, VAAR 802.101, VetBiz Registration, prospective firms must be registered in Central Contractor Registration (CCR) and in the VetBiz databases prior to award.
