Description
Please note that this is NOT a request for quotes or proposals, the Government is seeking information for market research purposes only. The Government may or may not issue solicitation documents. The Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Midwest Healthcare Network, Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN) 23 oversees the provision of health care provided to veterans residing in Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota and bordering states of Kansas, Illinois, Missouri, Wisconsin and Wyoming. VISN 23 delivers VA's comprehensive benefits package through an integrated system of medical centers (8), community based outpatient clinics (35), domiciliaries (4), and nursing home care units (7). VISN 23 is conducting a market survey for qualified firms capable of providing the required Tumor Registry Services as outlined below. Applicable NAICS Code is 518210, Data Processing, Hosting, and Related Services with a size standard of $25 million. Responses to this notice must be submitted in writing (email or fax is acceptable) and received not later than July 17, 2009. No telephone inquiries will be accepted. Description of work to be performed includes: Contractor responsibilities include (a) records maintenance, including completion of abstraction, Findings and Follow-Up's; (b) Case abstracting and coding; (c) Computer data entry (electronic patient record/vista Oncology package) of all cases; (d) Meeting reporting requirements of statewide cancer registry, the American College of Surgeon's Commission on Cancer and the VA Central Cancer Registry; (e) Maintaining credentials through the National Cancer Registrar's Association; (f) Maintaining a cancer database that can be used to evaluate the efficiency of cancer therapy in the region as well as provide a base for epidemiological studies; and (g) Maintaining patient and records confidentiality in accordance with the Privacy Act of 1974, complying with the terms of VA computer access security agreement, and other applicable regulations. Contractor, and/or abstracting employee, is responsible for furnishing all necessary computer equipment for use at a remote site. The purpose of this notice is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification (service disabled veteran owned small business, veteran owned small business, HubZone, 8(a), small disadvantaged business, small business, or large business) relative to NAICS 518210 (size standard $25 million per annum). Responses to this notice will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. Responses to this notice should include company name, a service capability statement, examples of similar facilities which you have provided services to, DUNS number, address, point of contact and the size of your business pursuant to the following questions; (1) Is your business large or small? (2) If small, does your firm qualify as a small, emerging business? (3) If disadvantaged, specify under which disadvantaged group and if your firm is certified under Section 8(a) of the Small Business Act? (4) Is your firm a certified HubZone firm? (5) Is your firm a woman-owned or operated business? (6) Is your firm a certified Service-Disabled Veteran Owned or Veteran Owned Small Business? Responses to this notice must be submitted in writing (email or fax) and received not later than July 17, 2009. No telephone inquiries will be accepted. A solicitation is not currently available. If a solicitation is issued, it will be announced on Federal Business opportunities website http://www.fbo.gov at a later date, and all interested parties must respond to that solicitation announcement separately from the responses to this announcement.
