- This is a market survey only. The US Army RDECOM-ARDEC anticipates solicitinga full and open competition to select an offeror to provide expert technicalassistance for the U.S. Military 105mm/120mm/ Mid Range Munition (MRM)Ammunition Technology & Net Centric Information Initiative. Proposed effortrequires knowledge, expertise and experience regarding 105mm, 120mm and MRMsystems and subsystem technologies, as well as network centric informationtechnology. Required will be evaluations, assessments, coordination,managerial and administrative support, design support, test plan developmentand data reduction and analysis in the areas of fire control, targetacquisition, RF (radio frequency) and EO electro-optical) sensors, gun androcket boost propulsion, warheads/lethality, guidance and control, airframestructures, aerodynamics, integrated circuits, advanced softwarearchitectures, high performance computing, network centric information systemtenets and speech translation systems. Also required is knowledge of counter-insurgency and mid-intensity operational environments. Familiarity with JointCapability Technology Demonstrations (JCTD) is also beneficial. Knowledge ofthis nature is necessary because the duplication costs for research andknowledge would be costly to the Government. This proposed requirement has ananticipated period of performance of 1 Base Year and 4 Option Years with aprojected award in the 2nd quarter FY10. US Security Clearance at SECRETLevel is required. Firms should indicate in their response the level ofclearance possessed. NO LATER THAN 30 JULY 2009: Interested companies are requested to submit aqualifications and capabilities statement.
