- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE SEEKING INFORMATION ONLY. THE GOVERNMENT IS LOOKING FOR BUSINESS SOURCES THAT CAN OR COULD PROVIDE THE FOLLOWING: Information from companies, research and development laboratories (public and private), or other sources about Parachutist Rough Terrain System (PRTS) also know as " TREE SUIT(s)". The suit should come complete as a unit: one jacket and one pant per unit. Sizes requested: Large & X-Large. FEATURES: Jacket has Elbow made from "RUBATEX" style foam w/hard plastic; hand tack shoulder and elbow pad into suit; Shape collar for better visibility in front; add hard plastic to back for spine protection. Pants are resized and relocated knee pad, make from "RUBATEX" Style foam w/hard plastic; knee pad sleeve to open from top; Encase seat pad with three panel sleeve; utilize "O-Ring" in letdown harness, with space to allow carabiner below ring; Positive locking hardware on leg pocket closure; polypropylene webbing to be used on suspenders; suits are made of KEVLAR RIPSTOP MATERIAL. COLOR is OD GREEN (ADVANCE GREEN) I. The goal of the assessment is to identify new capabilities and evaluate existing commercial products against specific functional requirements and future needs. II. Please note that this is a REQUEST FOR INFORMATION ONLY. This is NOT a request for proposal and there is no solicitation package available at this time. Participation does not imply any obligation by the United States Government or any agency thereof. Proprietary information will be protected to the greatest extent provided by law. THE GOVERNMENT WILL NOT PAY FOR ANY INFORMATION RECEIVED IN RESPONSE TO THIS REQUEST, NOR WILL WE COMPENSATE ANY RESPONDENT FOR ANY COSTS INCURRED IN DEVELOPING THE INFORMATION PROVIDED. WE WILL ALSO NOT PAY FOR ANY DEMONSTRATION NOR COMPENSATE ANY RESPONDENT FOR ANY COSTS INCURRED WITH DEVELOPMENT OR PERFORMANCE OF A DEMONSTRATION THAT MAY BE REQUESTED. III. Interested organizations/companies/institutions are encouraged to respond to this notice by providing product literature and/or other information, no longer than twenty pages, by 4 PM (1600) Pacific Standard Time, Monday, 20 JULY 2009.
