- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for a commercial item prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and another written solicitation will not be issued. Consider this solicitation (# 09SQ108170) as a request for quotations. This solicitation document and its incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect in Federal Acquisition Circular 34. Quotations in response to this solicitation are due by 11:59 PM on Thursday, July 23, 2009. The Bureau of Reclamation, Pacific Northwest Regional Office, 1150 N Curtis Road, Boise, ID 83706, acting as the procurement agent for the Fort Simcoe Job Corps Center, 40 Abella Lane, White Swan, WA 98952, has issued this solicitation or Request for Quotation (RFQ) 09SQ108170 for a USED WATER TRUCK. This solicitation is issued in accordance with FAR Parts 12 & 13 procedures. Important Notices: 1) The contractor must be registered with Central Contractor Registration (CCR) to be eligible for award; 2) Submission of quotes must be in accordance with this solicitation; and 3) the anticipated award will be a Firm Fixed Price contract based on the Best Value to the Government. This acquisition is to be set aside 100% for Small Business. The NAICS code is 336120. The Small Business size standard is 1000 employees. Questions regarding this solicitation for quotations should be directed to the Point of Contact person noted in this solicitation. The Fort Simcoe Job Corps Center Heavy Equipment Operator Training Program is required by law to manage dust abatement at all excavation sites where heavy equipment is in operation. A water truck is required for this purpose and is essential for fire control on and around the training facility. Additionally, the water truck can be used to train students obtaining Class B commercial driving endorsements. Specifications for the truck include:- Year: Used, 1995 or newer- Horse power: 350 or higher- Transmission: 13 speed- Axle limitations: 16K front/46K rear- Suspension: Walking beam, double frame- Water tank: 3800 to 4000 gallon- Baffles: Forest Service approved- Self-loading capability- Hose reel with monitor- Low mileage- Front, rear and side sprayers- Remotely controlled turret- Air conditioning- Warranty (if any) The expected delivery date is July 31, 2009.
