The LPT Turbine Tool Kits are used to prevent damage to the #4 bearing during installation of the LPT.. This is a spares requirement. This requirement is for full and open competition. AMC-00. Quantity of 36 EA with the delivery on or before 31 December 2009. Destination: Tinker AFB FB2039. First Article may or may not be required. Drawings will be posted to FedBizOps. Qualification Requirements are applicable. The approximate solicitation issue date will be 29 JULY 09 with a close date of 28 AUG 09. The anticipated award date will be 30 SEP 09. Electronic procedures will be used for this solicitation. Approved Sources: General Electric (Cage: 07482) and Blue Ash Tool and Die Company Incorporated (Cage: 57404). All proposals received within forty-five days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. It is suggested that small business firms or others interested in subcontracting opportunities in connection with the described procurement make contact with the firm(s) listed. Award will be made to the qualified source with the lowest price and technical acceptability as detailed in the solicitation. If unit price exceeds $5,000 then UID requirements will apply. Note: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential Offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
