Description

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to issue a sole source purchase order to Agilent Technologies, Inc., 1834 State Highway 71W, Cedar Creek, TX 78612-3412, for an MX3005P QPCR System 110V with Desktop computer and Beta Actin install plate for use in the meningitis laboratory. This specific machine is requested due to compatibility with existing Agilent units already being used at CDC, as well as maintaining uniformity with equipment, protocols, training materials, and data output formats between the CDC laboratory and CDC’s overseas partners who also use only the MX3005P system, without reoptimization, revalidation or retesting. CDC believes that this requirement is met by only one provider. This procurement will be processed under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 and 6.302-2. Only one responsible source and no other sources will satisfy agency requirements. No solicitation is being issued.
