- Work for this project consists of furnishing labor and equipment for the reconstruction of the Big Meadows Campground. Items of work in the base bid include (but not limited to) are: Clearing, grubbing, and stump removal; Obliteration of roadways and relocation of barrier rocks; Construction staking and quality control; Construction Closure Signs; Constructing and or resurfacing with aggregate campground roads, spurs, pullouts and pull-thrus. Replacing/installing culverts and drainage ditches; Host and area manager unit improvements; Fee station with bulletin board, fee tube, site identification sign and concrete paving; Providing and Installing signs, Demolition of camp units and construction of new camp units including crusher fines surfaced impact areas, timber borders, steps, timber retaining walls, site boulders, number unit posts, and site furnishings. Other items include the coordination and installation of concrete wheelstops, fire rings, picnic tables, timber retaining walls and the installation of concrete flatwork for toilet sidewalks with trash receptacles and benches (toilets installed by others) and a fee station pad. Optional Bid Items include (but are not limited to) the completion of individual camp sites with spur, pullouts or pull-thrus and related constructed features as funding allows. All work associated with constructing these optional units is included in each of these bid item. This project is being advertised under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program, and as such, it is open to large and small business concerns. The solicitation for this project will be available only through the Federal Business Opportunities website - www.fbo.gov, and should be posted on or about 7/29/2009.
