- Description
- The National Park Service, Department of Interior, is soliciting proposals from firms having the capability of performing security guard services at the USS Arizona Memorial, Honolulu, Hawaii. The work includes furnishing uniformed security personnel for foot and possibly bicycle patrols of the park. Security guards will also be responsible for assisting the general public with basic information concerning the Memorial site. The full scope of services required will be included in the solicitation document. Offerors are being solicited on a full and open competition basis. This notice meets the requirements of FAR 5.201. The NPS reserves the right not to release a solicitation. OBTAINING A SOLICITATION: Solicitation will be made available for viewing and/or downloading on the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) website on or about July 31, 2009. Solicitation documents will not be issued on compact disc (CD) unless the Government determines that it is necessary. Traditional hard copies of solicitations will NOT be available for this project. This procurement is not set aside for small business and will be issued pursuant to full and open competition. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 561612 and the annual size standard is $18.5 million. REGISTRATIONS: Offerors must have and/or maintain an active registration with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) website to be eligible for a Government contract award. In order to receive any contract award, a vendor must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) and Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA). A contract will be awarded for the base year with the possibility of four option years. This is a "Best Value" negotiated procurement. Issuance of the Request for Proposal (RFP) is expected to be on or about July 31, 2009 with proposals due thirty days thereafter. Actual due date will be established upon issuance of the solicitation. PROJECT LOCATION: USS Arizona Memorial, island of Oahu, Hawaii.
