- Description
- Lolo National Forest, Deerhorn Creek Bridge. The Western Montana Acquisition Zone anticipates issuing a Request for Proposals for the Deerhorn Creek Bridge project on the Plains Ranger District of the Lolo National Forest. The project is located at MP 12.60 on FH 56, Thompson River Road. This site is approximately 20 miles northeast of Thompson Falls, MT. FH 56 can be accessed from Highway 200 approximately 4 miles east of Thompson Falls, then proceed 12.60 miles north on FH 56 to the Deerhorn Creek stream crossing. The project is for the construction of a new concrete bridge. Work will include, but is not limited to the removal of existing culverts, structural excavation, excavation and reshaping the channel, placement of instream grade control structures, placement of riprap, installation of precast concrete grade beams, superstructure and minor work on roadway approaches. A complete solicitation package for this project will be posted on this website on approximately July 16, 2009. A pre-proposal conference is scheduled for 0900 hours on August 5, 2009 at the Plains/Thompson Falls Ranger Station Office, 408 Clayton, Plains, Montana.
