Description
This is a notification that the Mission and Installation Contracting Command Center Fort Sam Houston (CCMI-RCS), intends to award a sole-source, firm-fixed price contract to GES Exposition Services, 7050 Lindell Rd., Las Vegas, NV, 89118-4702 under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1). The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 561920, with a small business size standard of $7.0M. The requirement is for the rental of booth space and furnishings for the 2009 ILW Army Medical Symposium and Exposition to be held 18 through 24 July, 2009 at the Henry B. Gonzales Convention Center, San Antonio, TX. CCMI-RCS requires the following: Booth spaces and furnishings (to include table(s), chair(s), carpet and wastebasket(s)). Labor, material handling and miscellaneous booth accoutrements are inclusive. Furniture will be for 2, 10 X 20 booths; 6, 10 X 10 booths and office furnishings for the Surgeon Generals room, 206A, and Stryker MEV and WWI Army Ambulance, 20 X 50, Brook Army Medical Center Mobile, 20 X 60, AMEDD Recruiting Trailer, 30 X 80, Medical Simulation Training Trailer, 20 X 40. 1. MEDCOM Strategic Communication Marketing requires a 20 X 20 booth. Furniture required: 2 6 skirted table, 4 plastic contour chairs, 2 wastebaskets and 20 X 20 booth carpet plus cleaning and janitorial porter/vacuum (furniture package #3). 2. MEDCOM Medical Assistance Group and AMEDD C&S Warrior Medic Memorial each require a 10 X 20 booth. Furniture required: 2 6 skirted table, 4 plastic contour chairs, 2 wastebaskets and 10 X 20 booth carpet plus cleaning and janitorial porter/vacuum (furniture package #3). 3. MEDCOM Emergency Preparedness and Response Plans, Health Policy & Service Proponency Office for Rehabilitation & Reintegration, Warrior Transition Command, United States Army Wound Program (AW2), Soldier Family Assistance Center (SFAC) and MEDCOM Clinical Guideline Office each require a 10 X 10 booth. Furniture required: 1 6 skirted table, 2 plastic contour chairs, 1 wastebasket and 10 X 10 booth carpet plus vacuuming each day of the show (furniture package #3). 4. Surgeon General office requires the following furnishings: Clothes tree, easel, wastebasket, sofa, 2 each: Laredo black chairs, table end; 7 each: side chair with arms, computer table, 6 conference table, executive desk; gem wall and gem door plus vacuuming each day. 5. WWI Army Ambulance and STRYKER MEV, BAMC MBU AMEDD Medical Recruiting and MEDCOM Recruiting Trailer requires Astroturf carpet and material handling vehicle placement of the large vehicle and 1 6 skirted table, 2 plastic contour chairs, 1 wastebasket and 10 X 10 booth carpet plus vacuuming each day of the show (furniture package #3). 6. Material Handling, dismantling and freight service. The Association of the U.S. Army has identified GES Exposition Services as the official contractor for the ILW Army Medical Symposium. This notice is not a request for quotations. The contractor identified is the only known source for the subject requirement. Responses to this notification will be used to determine if bona fide competition exists. Any such responses must be in writing and include technical and pricing information. The Government will not pay for information submitted. All responses from responsible sources will be fully considered. A determination by the Government not to compete this procurement action, based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. All responses must be received no later than 12:00 PM CST, July 17, 2009.
