- Contractor shall provide: 1) removal and disposal of infectious medical waste from VA Medical Center, Providence, Rhode Island three times a week and three Community-Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs) located in New Bedford, MA; Hyannis, MA; and Middletown, RI each once a month all in accordance with the requirements of the contract; 2) service to collect, dispose, and replace reusable contaminated sharps containers at the VA Medical Center, Providence, Rhode Island. This is a commercial requirement and will be a firm fixed price contract. The Providence VA Medical Center is looking for a contractor that will provide: 1) removal and disposal of infectious medical waste from VA Medical Center, Providence, Rhode Island three times a week and three Community-Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs) located in New Bedford, MA; Hyannis, MA; and Middletown, RI each once a month all in accordance with the requirements of the contract; 2) service to collect, dispose, and replace reusable contaminated sharps containers at the VA Medical Center, Providence, Rhode Island. The NAISC code for this is 562112 and the size standard is $12.0 million. This project is subject to the Service Contract Act. Award will be based on the best value to the Government. Evaluation factors include technical past performance and price. The solicitation package will be available on or about July 21, 2009. The date for receipt of quotations is scheduled for August 11, 2009 at 1:00 pm.
