Description
THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. THIS OPPORTUNITY IS AVAILABLE ONLY TO CONTRACTORS UNDER W91278-09-109-ARRA. Engineering Division plans to use NationView LLC, Contract W92178-08-D-0020, to perform an asbestos survey, lab testing, and asbestos abatement at Carters Dam and Buford Dam, both of which are located in the northwestern part of Georgia, using ARRA stimulus funds. The work will be executed in two Task Orders. The first Task Order will include a visit to the project sites, where the Contractor shall conduct a complete and comprehensive inspection for asbestos containing materials. The samples shall be analyzed by an accredited laboratory. Reports submitted will contain a general description of the project, sampling methodology, physical condition of buildings and sampling locations, field and laboratory results in narrative and tabular form, drawings showing location of asbestos containing materials and items painted with leaded paint, and quantities. The results of the first Task Order will define the work to be accomplished in the second Task Order. In the second Task Order the Contractor shall remove asbestos containing materials in accordance with EM 385-1-1, applicable federal, state, and local laws, ordinances, criteria, rules and regulations regarding handling, storing, transporting, and disposing of asbestos waste materials. These procedures and equipment are required to protect workers and building occupants from airborne asbestos fibers and ACM dust and debris. Activities include OSHA Class I and Class II work operations. Please inform us when you have posted notification of the work in the FBO, we will then issue the Task Order to the A-E and begin negotiations and hold award until the FBO notification period is complete.
