- Description
- This project is to (1) move an existing 10 ton capacity overhead crane system from the foundry to weld shop. This will include disassembly, inspection, control upgrades, installation of the crane and necessary access points for operators and maintenance personnel. (2) Modify the controls of the existing overhead crane system in Heat Treat (Bldg 222) and modification of the existing controls to change from contractor technology to motor drives on the control system. Also, disassembly and removal of the existing hoist system which would prevent the use of the overhead system. (3) This project is to modify the existing hoist systems in the recoil assembly room to improve clean room performance. A site visit is required to be considered for award. Estimated issue date is 7/28/09. This solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.502 and 5.102, therefore, hardcopies will not be provided. Vendors wishing an electronic copy may download it on or after the issue date by accessing the Army Single Face to Industry Website. CAUTION: This solicitation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. Because of this, the Government is under no obligation and is in fact unable to maintain a bidders mailing list. It is therefore incumbent upon any interested parties to periodically access the above internet address in order to obtain any amendments which may be issued. Failure to obtain any said amendments and to respond to them prior to the date and time set for bid opening/receipt of proposals may render your bid or proposal nonresponsive and result in the rejection of same. Proposed contract is 100% small business set-aside.
