Description
Industry Day Attendee's List RESPONSES TO QUESTIONS: QUESTION #1: My question is related to Answer #10 (Questions and Answers) as shown below. In terms of the GFE, is the Government referring to the Aerial Refueling System? If so, will the Government procure these items separately once a contractor and airframe are chosen for this effort? Also, there is the mention of a "roll on/roll off" system. Has the government already selected a system or is this more an expression of intent? Answer #10: The government will outfit both the primary and second A/C for use with Government Furnished Equipment (GFE). This is the most effective way to handle this type of situation. The GFE will be a roll on/roll off system for the A/C. It will not stay on both A/Cs permanently. ANSWER #1: All GFE referred to in the package is additional equipment other than refueling (i.e. electronics to track and record Aircraft position). All contractors must have a full working refueling system already in place. QUESTION #2: In reviewing the Draft PWS, is it the intent of the requirement to have the Primary Type V aircraft have a non-stop flight range of 4,350nm and be able to off-load 65K of fuel or is the range figure for positioning flights, etc. The reasoning being is that the aircraft cannot cover 4350nm in a 6hr time frame, and would the 6hr mission window be 3hrs out / 3 hrs return or fly a 6hr track, land and refuel? ANSWER #2: We are looking for an aircraft that has a range of at least 4350 NM and be able to offload 65K of fuel. This is for Cross-country/water drags of multiple aircraft. Time 6 hours: Our missions can last 6 hrs and are not necessarily associated with the 4350 NM. Missions could be either a point to point or a single base. WE WILL NOT BE ACCEPTING ANY ADDITIONAL QUESTIONS AS OF TODAY (2:00 p.m.), EASTERN TIME LOCAL TIME
