Description

This is a request for market research only. The government does not intend to award a contract as a result of this announcement. The General Services Administration (GSA), Federal Acquisition Service (FAS) currently has one Tier 1 vendor onto the Denver Federal Center. GSA FAS is seeking information on options for multiple Tier 1 vendors who currently do not have a direct entry point onto the Denver Federal Center. This Request for Information (RFI) describes the Government's requirement for multiple Tier 1 vendors to provide completely separate fiber and direct entry points onto the Denver Federal Center from at least two physically diverse central offices. GSA FAS is also seeking the following: 1. Availability of fiber from at least 3 Tier 1 carriers without the requirement for trenching more than 2 miles. 2. High bandwidth connectivity to at least 3 Tier 1 telecommunications carriers that come from at least 2 physically diverse central offices. 3. The ability to provide diverse entry points into the campus and the facility. The purpose of this RFI is to gather information and possible sources with the experience and knowledge necessary to meet the requirements as stated above. This RFI is being issued in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 15.201(e). The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this RFI. Responses to this RFI are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. No entitlement to payment of direct or indirect costs or charges by the Government will arise as a result of submission of responses to this RFI and the Government's use of such information. Respondents are encouraged to be as specific as possible in addressing any and all sections of the RFI. Interested parties may only respond to this RFI by sending an email to the address listed in this notice.
