- RECOVERY--The Raystown Lake Project under guidance from the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers Baltimore District is seeking the replacement of various water lines. The Water Main Upgrade will consist of complete replacement of existing water piping with new High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) piping. Existing piping will only need removed if it interferes with the installation of the new piping. The water mains will consist of various sizes ranging from 1 inch through 4 inch sizes and will have connections to existing comfort stations, fountains, towers and piping as well as connections to new hydrants, jug fillers and concrete jug filler pads, fountains and concrete fountain pads, meters, and valves. The following tasks are being considered: 1. Replace water main piping and all components of the system from Reservoir #1 thru the dump station to meter pit MP201 to gate valve 404 and to meter pit #. 2. Replace water main piping and all components of the system from meter pit 201 thru all Meadow Camp to the pavilion water fountain valve WF103. 3. Replace water main piping and all components of the system from meter pit 202 thru Ridge Camp to jug filler ball valve BV107. 4. Replace water main piping and all components of the system from Gate Valve GV404 to connection into existing reservoir #2 (Option). The proposed procurement is set aside 100% for small business. NAICS: 237110 with a small business size standard of $33.5 million average annual receipts over preceding three fiscal years. Estimated cost of services is between $100,000 and $250,000. This project will use funds from the American Recovery and Re-investment (ARRA) of 2009. The solicitation will be provided in an electronic format, free of charge on or about 22 Aug 2009, to all authenticated account holders of Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) System. Please note that all Corps of Engineers acquisitions are considered sensitive, but unclassified documents and require users to have valid MPIN entered in the FBO systems to access package. The media through which the Government chooses to issue this solicitation will be the Internet only. This solicitation will not be issued in paper.
