- DEPARTMENT OF VETERANS AFFAIRS (VA)WANTS TO LEASE PARKING SPACES The VA desires to lease up to 600 parking spaces for a term of up to three (3) years, with up to three (3) additional one (1) year option periods. Parking spaces may be located on one (1) or more surface or structured parking lots and shall be for the exclusive use by VA. To be considered, offered property must be located within the following delineated area within Palo Alto, California and the surrounding vicinity: The northern boundary is Sand Hill Road from I-280 to ALAMEDA, continuing along Santa Cruz Avenue to El Camino Real, southerly along El Camino Real to Ravenswood Avenue, easterly along Ravenswood Avenue to Middlefield Road, southerly along Middlefield Road to Willow Road and easterly along Willow Road to US 101. The eastern boundary is US 101 from Willow Road to San Antonio Road. The southern boundary is San Antonio Road from US 101 to Foothills Expressway, southerly along Foothills Expressway to S. El Monte Avenue and westerly along El Monte Avenue to I-280. The western boundary is I-280 from Sand Hill Road to El Monte Avenue. Offerors must provide evidence that offered properties are outside the 100-year flood plain and contain no wetlands. Brokers or legal representatives submitting property must show written acknowledgement and permission to represent the property. Property owners and developers must provide written proof of ownership or control of property at the time of submission of initial bids. Greater consideration will be given to locations that can provide lease terms of three (3) years or more, can meet the maximum required number of parking spaces, or have close proximity to the VA Palo Alto Campus. A market survey of offered properties will be conducted by VA staff and broker consultant. Interested offerors (owners, developers, brokers, or their legal representatives) should submit information concerning their properties to the following person and address in writing, via e-mail, or via fax not later than 4:00 P.M., PST, Friday, August 14, 2009.
