Description: RECOVERYThis office will issue Request for Proposals N6620090034 for the ARRA FY09 Construct Facilities at Glen Haven Historic District of Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore at Empire, Michigan. The solicitation will be available at http://ideasec.nbc.gov on or about 6 August 2009. The solicitation will close on or about 9 September 2009. This solicitation is SET ASIDE IAW FAR 19.13 FOR HUBZONE ONLY SMALL BUSINESS PARTICIPATION.PAPER COPIES OF THIS SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED AND TELEPHONE REQUESTS OR FAX REQUESTS FOR THIS SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED The North American Industry Classification System code for this project is 237310 with a size standard of $33,500,000 in average gross annual receipts for the past 3 fiscal years. In accordance with FAR Subpart 36.204, the price range for this contract is between $500,000 and $1,000,000 dollars. A site visit is scheduled on 24 AUGUST 2009 at 0900 hours (local time). See Obtaining Solicitation Documents below. _______________________________________________________________________________ Project Description (Approx. quantities): This is an American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA) project. Recovery Buy-American Clauses apply. This project is 100% Set-Aside for HubZone Small Businesses. The work of this solicitation consists of general construction of pedestrian and vehicular facilities, including concrete walks, asphalt parking lots, timber boardwalks and timber viewing platforms in the Glen Haven Historic District of Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore, Empire, Michigan. _______________________________________________________________________________ The Contractor will be required to commence work within 10 days after notice to proceed and complete the construction work within 210 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. Provisions will be included for liquidated damages in case of failure to complete the work in the time allowed. This solicitation is subject to the Davis Bacon Act and will require Performance and Payment bonds and a bid guarantee as per FAR 28.101 and 102. The bid guarantee amount shall be at least 20 percent of the bid price.
