- The Marine Corps Systems Command, Program Manager for Ammunition desires the acquisition and qualification of an Insensitive Munition (IM) compliant rocket motor casing solution for the Light Anti-Armor Weapon, (LAW), M72A7, DODIC: HA29. The responders to this sources sought are to provide Insensitive Munition (IM) enhancements for the M72A7, 66mm Light-weight Anti-Armor weapon (LAW) that will address Rocket Motor Case changes that maintains performance of the LAW Rocket while providing compliance or significant improvements in the LAW's reaction to the unplanned stimuli, while maintaining the systems performance. Candidate systems must have achieved a level of technical maturity such that they are capable of meeting all performance requirements and successfully completing a Government Qualification program without additional research and development. The North American Industry Classification (NAICS) Code is 332993, Ammunition (Except Small Arms) Manufacturing or 336415, Guided Missile and Space Vehicle Propulsion Unit and Propulsion Unit Parts Manufacturing. All contractors who provide goods and or services to the DoD must be registered in the Central Contractor Register (CCR). Any forthcoming solicitation will require online certifications and representations (ORCA), http://orca.bpn.gov. Failure to comply with ORCA registration may make the offerors ineligible for award. Responses to this sources sought notice should include a brief description of the technology and its transition to the LAW System rocket motor casing configuration with a brief statement describing its technical maturity and readiness to complete a Qualification program. Firms should include literature, brochures, and capabilities summaries directly addressing their ability to meet the aforementioned needs. Firms are to state their business size, NAICS Code, and identify a corporate point of contact. Interested sources may identify their interest and capability to meet the requirements by submitting a white paper, technical data for the item, past performance, and their capability to provide test units upon request no later than close of business 4:00 PM EST, 11 August 2009 to MARCORSYSCOM, Program Manager Ammunition, Attn: Jaime Arias, 39 Tech Parkway, Suite 211, Stafford, VA 22556, or email jaime.arias.ctr@usmc.mil..
