Description: RECOVERY. THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. This project is funded through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. The U. S. Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Service, awarded a firm fixed priced task order to Barlow, Eddy, Jenkins PA, under contract AG-3K15-C-06-0001 for architectural and engineering (A-E) services. The task order is to update design drawings and specifications for major renovation to Jamie Whitten Delta States Research Center to address deferred maintenance of critical mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems, and incidental repairs. This task order is to be issued under an existing indefinite quantity contract for A-E Services. The contract was competed in accordance with the Brooks Act and FAR 36.6 Architectural and Engineering (A-E) services. The selection of Barlow, Eddy, Jenkins PA was based upon criteria which included the following: overall technical expertise, specialized technical knowledge, specialized knowledge of the location where the work will be performed, and an internal analysis of costs.
