- Statement of Work - Fire Department Maintenance Sources Sought This Sources Sought Notice (SS) is for information and planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation on the part of the Government. The purpose of this SS is to identify qualified potential offerors capable of performing the work described in the attached Statement of Work. As a result of this SS, the Government may issue a Request for Quote (RFQ). The 48th Contracting Squadron at RAF Lakenheath, United Kingdom is performing a market survey to determine if there are an adequate number of interested and qualified vendors having the capability to provide maintenance service of fire department equipment in accordance with Statement of Work to include: SCBA units/addional equip, J-Fire Masks, Fit Testing, Inspection/Hydrostatic testing of cylinders, Confined Space Equipment, Air Source Carts, Spiroline Hoses, Compressors, Air testing, Level A Suit testing, Posicheck calibration, Ladder Testing, Hose Testing, Pump Testing, Compressor ops training, Spare parts as needed, Data and reporting of all tests. Based upon response to this announcement, the Government may issue a solicitation on a full and open basis advertised on www.fbo.gov and www.forest-heath.gov.uk. The applicable North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 238990. This notice is not a request for quote and the information presented in this announcement will not obligate the Government in any manner. Interested parties should include the following information in their response: (a) Business name, address, cage code, size (b) A positive statement of your intention to submit an offer for this solicitation as a prime contractor; (c) Evidence of your experience performing work similar in type and scope to the work in this announcement within the last five years. The evidence should include: contract numbers, project titles, dollar amounts and points of contacts with telephone numbers. Please do not include more than three past projects. All interested parties are encouraged to respond to this notice, by e-mail to richard.enriquez@lakenheath.af.mil no later than the close of business on August 12, 2009. Central Contractor Registration (CCR) and Annual Representations and Certifications, as required by FAR 4.1102, apply to this procurement. Prospective contractors must be registered prior to award. Lack of registration in the CCR database will make an offeror ineligible for award. Information on CCR registration can be obtained via the Internet at http://www.ccr.gov.
