Description
NOTICE: THIS SOLICITATION IS SET-ASIDE FOR EMERGING SMALL BUSINESSES ONLY. Project Name: Replace Windows and Exterior Doors Cabrillo National Monument. The Solicitation number for this project is Q8110090015. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for a construction contract in accordance with FAR Part 36. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; Quotes are requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation Number Q8110090015 is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ) for replacing 3 windows on the Administration Building and 7 exterior wood doors on the lower maintenance building of Cabrillo National Monument, 1800 Cabrillo Memorial drive, San Diego, CA 92106-3106. The US Department of the Interior, the National Park Service, Pacific West Regional Office is soliciting quotations from qualified emerging small businesses for a firm-fixed price construction contract to furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and expertise necessary to perform all operations required for the successful completion of the above named project. Work includes, but is not limited to: removing and replacing windows, removing and replacing exterior wood doors, mortising and adjustment of doors to fix existing openings and hardware, priming of exterior doors, replacement of cables on roll-up garage door, adjustment of garage door spring tension, and associated work. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 238290, and the small business size standard is $14.0 million. Contract duration is approximately 45 days following notice to proceed. In accordance with FAR Subpart 36.204, the price range for this contract is less than $25,000. This is a "Best Value" negotiated procurement: selection is based on the lowest evaluated price of the technically qualified offerer. To be considered technically qualified a firm must be an Emerging Small Business in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations Subpart 19.10; have a satisfactory past performance on similar work on older buildings in a public setting. A site visit is scheduled for July 30, 2009 at 1:30 pm. Interested parties shall meet at the lower maintenance building at the above address promptly at 1:30pm. All Amendments will also be posted to this website. Responses will be due on or before 07 August 2009 unless extended.
