- ATTERBURY JOB CORPS CENTER SCOPE OF WORK (Gymnasium Floor) •Remove bleachers as needed for floor replacement and reinstall when finished. •Remove and dispose of old flooring material off site. •Repair any existing damage to concrete slab under old flooring and prep surface to accept new flooring per manufactures recommendations including the addition of vapor barrier (5 mil thickness minimum) to sub floor before installation of new floor covering. •(Option 1) Install Tara-flex Multi – Use 5.0 gym flooring on entire gym floor area including under bleachers. •(Option 2) Install Poured Polyurethane floor entire floor area including under bleachers. Specifications for flooring •A. Performance Requirements: Provide a resilient gymnasium surfacing system, which has been designed, manufactured and installed to meet the following criteria: •1. Surface Hardness (Shore A, ASTM D224): 50 - 60. •2. Compression Set at 50%: Less than 2%. •3. Compression Modulus (ASTM D575): 62 - 115 psi (427 - 792 kPa) at 10% deflection. •4. Weight: 0.8 - 0.85 psf (3.9 - 4.1 kg/m2), 1/8" (3.2 mm) thickness. •5. Tensile Strength Range (ASTM D412): 600 - 800 psi (4134 - 5512 kPa). •6. Viscosity (A + B): 2500 +/- 500 cps. •7. Density (A + B): 1.27. •8. Flamespread (ASTM E84): Less than 150. •9. Moisture Absorption (ASTM D471): Less than 1% by weight. •10. Elongation at Break (ASTM D412): 138 +/- 5%. •11. Fungus Resistance: Will not support growth. •Specifier Note: Article below includes submittal of relevant data to be furnished by Contractor before, during or after construction. Coordinate this article with Architect’s and Contractor’s duties and responsibilities in Conditions of the Contract and Division 1 Submittal Procedures Section. • •(Option 3) Install 25/32’ x 2-1/4” Second or better maple flooring sealed and finished on entire floor area including under bleachers. •Provide painted game lines as determined by owners. •Provide dumpster for debris disposal. • Provide barricade protection. •Prior to the Notice To Proceed the GC must provide a construction schedule and on-site supervision and will be approved by the F&A Director. •ASTM moisture testing results to be provided if Tara-flex or Poured Polyurethane floors are selected prior to pouring or installing these floors. •Before the final acceptance of the floor and final payment, it must broom swept and clean of all debris. •Floor area approximately 78’ x 104' The received bids will be used to request funding for project.
