Description
Space and Naval Warfare SystemsCenter (SPAWARSYSCEN) Atlantic, intends to award a commercial, sole- source contract IAW FAR Part 13, to Data Security Inc., 729 Q St., Lincoln, NE 68508. The proposed acquisition is for the procurement of Data Securitys HPM-4E degausser and Filed CheckR for the Tactical Mobile Project. This degausser will be used for purging classified information on hard disk media and magnetic tape media. Degausser must accept hard drives 1.65 inches high by 5.06 inches wide by 7.125 inches deep including the Mountain Optec drive (1.53 inches high by 4.95 inches wide by 7 inches deep), floppy disks, zip disks, jazz disks and hard disk drives without removing or disassembling the disk platters, plus tape media including DLT, LTO, 8MM, and DSS. The Data Security degausser, a Drawer-type Degausser, meets DoD specifications for purging all classified/sensitive information from tape media and hard disk media. These degaussers are listed in the National Security Agency (NSA) Approved Degausser Products List (DPL). This equipment is unique in capability. NSA and DPL requirements must be met. Data Security is the manufacturer and sole provider of the model HPM-4E degausser and holds the proprietary design rights. A Firm Fixed Price, Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity type contract is anticipated with a one-year base period and two one-year options. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 333999 and the size standard is 500 employees. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals.
