PRICE SCHEDULE ATTACHMENT 1 NOTE TO OFFEROR The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) APHIS/Veterinary Services Facility, in Ames, IA intends to procure a decapper for screw cap tubes to remove and recap the materials that are produced annually for testing and for providing control materials to the NAHLN labs. The unit will eliminate complaints and injuries due to repetitive motion such as blisters, and carpal tunnel syndrome. ITEM DESCRIPTION: 1ea Decapper for screw cap tubes. Item needed is an automated unit that mechanically removes and replaces the screw caps (tops) from multiple tube types. The ideal unit has interchangeable cap removers so that different types of tubes and caps may be used Enclosed work area Dimensions are within the range of 325 mm wide X 375 mm high X 700 mm deep Meets EMC Directive 89/336/EEC Maximum power 140 VA Voltage is 100V (meets low voltage directive 73/22/EEC Noise level meets regulations regarding EN27779 (< 63 dBA) Unit includes adapters for Matrix, Micronic and Nunc tubes Unit includes cap holder rack Unit includes user interface Enclosed unit uncaps and recaps within 60 seconds for 96 rack. Unit is able to handle screw cap Matrix tubes, Nunc tubes, and Micronic tubes just by switching adapters which are included with unit. Unit opens at least 12 caps in parallel Unit can open or close selected rows or the entire block of tubes Unit operates so that no cap moves over opened tubes TECHNICAL POINT OF CONTACT: Patricia S.
