Description: The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Mobile District intends to procure on a sole source basis with General Electric Company 3800 North Wilson Ave, Loveland, CO 80538. The Contractor shall provide the following: Upgrade Software in four (4) existing Atlas controllers to provide Manual Gate Position Control in existing Atlas controllers through the operators screen. Installation of upgraded software includes labor and travel cost. The Governor Atlas controllers at Carters were manufactured and supplied by GE Global Controls Services and are proprietary devices: Therefore GE, is the only company capable of providing the software upgrade. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
