Description: This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Mission and Installation Contracting Command (MICC), Regional Contacting Center Fort Sam Houston, Texas (CCMI-RCS) intends to award a firm fixed-price contract on a sole source basis in accordance with FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii)(A) to Wittigs Office Interiors, Inc., 2013 Broadway Street, San Antonio, Texas 78215-1117, for rental of Haworth office furniture. Furniture is required for the additional staff temporarily moved to Building 1000 and due to continued delays in the renovation of Building 2000, the continued rental is required in order to keep employees at their desk working. Customer is the Installation Management Command (IMCOM) - West. Period of performance is 1 August 2009 through 31 October, with an option to extend an additional 3 months through 31 January 2010. The rental of office furniture is commercial within the meaning of FAR Clause 52.212-1. The contract will be issued on or about 30 July 2009. Estimated initial cost of the rental is $13,266.00 for the first three months and the option months is for the cost of $13,266.00 for a total cost of $26,532.00.
