Description
The synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at http://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is a single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access the information posted by the Navy Sea Systems Command. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren, Virginia, 22448-5l00, plans to procure on a sole source basis, two (2) 10/100/1000 12X4 Distributed Taps, P/N: V12.4CC-F-AS; two (2) Gigabit Single-mode Fiber 12X4 Distributed Taps, P/N: V12.4LC-F-AS; eight (8) Gigabit Copper Single Form Pluggable Modules, P/N: V-SFP-10, from VSS Monitoring Inc., 38 Adrian Court, Burlingame, CA 94010, (D&B #169264152) or VSS Monitoring Inc. AUTHORIZED RESELLERS, which will be delivered to the Receiving Officer, 6620 Tisdale Road, Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren, VA 22448. The Technology Integration Assessment Center (TIAC) requires these devices to tap multiple full-duplex networks and combine the cumulative traffic onto a single stream for output to multiple monitoring tools. These products are unique in that all aggregation taps are passive (failsafe) hardware devices that provide complete traffic visibility while keeping the network unaffected by the monitoring infrastructure. The tap appliance is invisible to the network and shields monitoring tools from detection and the possibility of polluting network data. There will be no written solicitation issued as a result of this notification. Please reference NSWC Request for Quote (RFQ) # N00178-09-Q-2077. Interested parties may submit their quotes/bids to the following: dana.strickland@navy.mil. This solicitation is expected to close on or about 07 August 2009, with award expected on or before 14 August 2009 and delivery to the fleet no later than 15 September 2009.
