Description
THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE!!! THIS DOES NOT CONSTITUTE A SOLICITATION. Information gathered from this notice shall be utilized for planning purposes. The main purpose of this SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE is to identify potential vendors: service-disabled veteran-owned small business (SDVOSB), and, if not following the precedence found under PL 109-461 and further detailed by VA IL 049-07-08, Veterans First Contracting Program, that are capable and qualified in providing medical waste services, at the Department of Veterans Affairs, West Texas VA Health Care System (WTXVAHCS) located in Big Spring, TX area, to also include the surrounding community-base outpatient clinics (CBOCs) located in Abilene, San Angelo and Odessa, TX, plus Hobbs, NM. The WTXVAHCS requirement calls for the prospective vendor to provide medical waste services of pick-up, transportation and proper disposal therein of all medical waste @ WTXVAHCS on a weekly basis, and the CBOCs monthly, between 8AM 4:30PM local. The Period of performance is anticipated to commence on/about October 1, 2009 thru September 30, 2010, to include potential of two separate one year options. The contractor shall provide the means (licensed personnel, vehicles and necessary equipment) to complete the travel; additionally, the medical waste must be packaged and marked appropriately IAW all appropriate local, state, and federal regulations. Security shall be adhered to at all times throughout the entire process. Interested parties/vendors that are capable and qualified to provide medical waste services must respond in writing, or by email, by providing a Notice of Interest to the Contracting Officer at the following address: West Texas VA Health Care System (WTXVAHCS), ATTN: Contracting (90C), 300 Veterans Blvd, Big Spring, TX, 79720. All interested parties/vendors shall provide the following information in their Notice of Interest: 1. Legal Company Name; 2. Company Mailing Address; 3. Company Telephone Number; 4. Company DUNS Number; and 5. Electronic mail (email) address of the Company point of contact (POC). Interested parties/vendors shall also submit appropriate written information and/or data supporting their technical capabilities and qualifications to perform the required medical waste services. For the purpose of a potential acquisition, the North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is 562112. The primary contact point is Robert S.
