Description
RECOVERY - This Notice Is Provided For Informational Purposes Only. This opportunity is available to contractors under Federal Supply Schedule 56 (Buildings And Building Materials/Industrial Services And Supplies) SIN 206 3 (Alternative and Renewable Energy Solutions, including Solar Energy Systems and Solar Lighting, Fuel Cells, Wind Power). This is not a notice for solicitation or offers. The purpose of this acquisition is to replace the existing solar roof system and roof membrane at the Senator Paul Simon Federal Building in Carbondale, Illinois, with an amorphous silicone BIPV system to the new 60 mil. base membrane on all portions of the roof. These sloped roof areas currently utilize the antiquated hydronic solar system that was designed in the 1970’s. The slope and orientation of the roof is conducive to solar collection. The existing solar system will be removed as part of this scope, as well as the EPDM roof membrane. GSA is requiring that the system generate approximately 350 kW – 400 kW of onsite electrical generation; a data acquisition system, with continuous web based photo and file viewing of system output, emission reductions and weather information in real time; multiple inverters, isolation transformers and all interconnect requirements of the local Utility, Ameren UE Gas and Electric Company. Any questions regarding this notice must be submitted via e-mail to Justin Costello at justin.costello@gsa.gov. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. No solicitation package will be issued via the Federal Business Opportunities Website.
