- THE PURPOSE OF THIS AMENDMENT IS TO: 1. EXTEND THE RESPONSE DUE DATE TO 4:00 PM CT ON AUGUST 7, 2009. 2. CORRECT THE LANGUAGE IN THE SCHEDULE OF ITEMS ON PAGE TWO OF THE SOLICITATION TO READ "TESTS" INSTEAD OF "TEST KITS". 3. CLARIFY THAT THE ESTIMATED QUANTITY OF TESTS TO BE PURCHASED EACH YEAR WILL BE 3,000 INSTEAD OF 25,000 LISTED IN ORIGINAL SYNOPSIS (SEE CORRECTION IN LANGUAGE BELOW). 4. CLARIFY THAT THE SET-ASIDE STATUS IS "TOTAL SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE" PER THE ATTACHED SOLICITATION. 5. CONFIRM THAT ALL QUANTITIES OF TESTS WILL BE SHIPPED "FOB DESTINATION". THUS, OFFERORS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR INCLUDING ESTIMATED SHIPPING COSTS IN THEIR PROPOSED PRICES. OFFERORS MAY USE STANDARD FREIGHT SHIPPING FOR THESE ESTIMATES TO THE VARIOUS LOCATIONS. IF EXPEDITED SHIPPING IS REQUIRED AT SOME POINT DURING THE CONTRACT THE GOVERNMENT WILL PAY FOR THE ADDITIONAL FREIGHT COSTS FOR THAT PARTICULAR SHIPMENT(S). 6. A REVISED SOLICITATION INCORPORATING THE ABOVE CHANGES ONLY IS BEING POSTED TO THIS WEBSITE TO REPLACE THE PREVIOUS SOLICITATION. *************************************************************************************************************** The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Grain Inspection, Packers and Stockyards Administration (GIPSA), Federal Grain Inspection Services (FGIS), has a requirement for aflatoxin test kits, to be delivered to a variety of GIPSA locations in different states. USDA intends to award an indefinite delivery indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract with an estimated quantity of 3,000 tests per year. Only offers from firms whose test kits have been tested and approved by FGIS will be considered for award. The solicitation will be issued on or about July 7, 2009. The solicitation will be posted to this website. The Government intends to provide the solicitation and all amendments via this web site only. NOTIFICATIONS WILL NOT BE SENT TO OFFEROR REGARDING THE ISSUANCE OF THE SOLICITATION NOR ANY OF ITS AMENDMENTS. IT IS THE OFFEROR担 RESPONSIBILITY TO CHECK THIS WEB SITE PERIODICALLY FOR UPDATES.
