- The National Institutes of Health, NIH, National Institute on Deafness and Other Communication Disorders (NIDOC), intends to negotiate under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13.106-1(b) sole source, firm fixed price purchase order with Illumina, Inc., 9885 Towne Center Drive, San Diego, CA 92121. The Reference Number NIHKH1138251 is being used for this requirement. The North American Industry Classification System code is 334516 with a business size standard of 750 employees. The requirements at NIDOC for Each HumanOmni1-Quad v1.0 DNA Analysis BeadChip Sample Kit are used to perform genetic association studies of taste perception: One each – Product number WG-311-1110 HumanOmni1-Quad v1.0 DNA Analysis Kit with 16 Samples. Each HumanOmni1-Quad v1.0 DNA Analysis BeadChip must process 4 samples and analyze >1,000,000 loci. Each package contains 4 BeadChips, along with reagents for amplifying, fragmenting, hybridizing, labeling and detecting 16 DNA samples. One each – Product number WG-311-1111 HumanOmni1-Quad v1.0 DNA Analysis Kit 48 Samples. Each HumanOmni1-Quad v1.0 DNA Analysis BeadChip must process 4 samples and analyze >1,000,000 loci. Each package contains 12 BeadChips, along with reagents for amplifying, fragmenting, hybridizing, labeling and detecting 48 DNA samples. One each – Product number WG-311-1112 HumanOmni1-Quad v1.0 DNA Analysis Kit 96 Samples. Each HumanOmni1-Quad v1.0 DNA Analysis BeadChip must process 4 samples and analyze >1,000,000 loci. Each package contains 24 BeadChips, along with reagents for amplifying, fragmenting, hybridizing, labeling and detecting 96 DNA samples. The delivery of the items is to be no later than 30 days after receipt of purchase order. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION: Central Contractor Registration (CCR) and Payment Information in accordance with FAR 4.1102, the Government requires contractors be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database in order to facilitate Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) payment for deliveries or performance under the respective task orders. The contractor may register for CCR at http:// www.ccr.gov/. Refer to FAR clause 52.232-33. The Data Universal Number System (DUNS) number is the primary vendor identifier in CCR. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. This requirement will be awarded utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification to the Contract Specialist by the deadline of this notice. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirement listed. Responses received will be evaluated; however a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. If no responses are received, the Government will proceed with the sole source acquisition to Illumina, Inc. All contractor responses shall be submitted to the address listed below no later than August 5, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. Eastern Standard Time. All quotes shall be clearly marked with Reference Number NIHKH1138251. All vendors are hereby notified that if your quote is not received by the date/time and location specified in this notice, it will not be considered. This synopsis is distributed solely through the Federal Business Opportunities website at www.fedbizopps.gov. All future information concerning the acquisition, including amendments, will be distributed solely through the website. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure you have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition.
