- The purpose of this Request for Offers is to seek competent and qualified contractors to perform Water Mitigation Work at the Seattle, WA - ATCT Facility SUBMISSION OF OFFER: Offers are due by close of business (4pm, PST) on August 18th, 2009. Please see Section "L" of the Request for Offers for complete proposal submission information. ESTIMATED SIZE RANGE: $100,000 - $200,000 NAICS: 238220 GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF WORK: This project provides waterproofing of floors 1-12 and moisture condensation protection of floors 13-15 of the Seattle ATCT. This includes, but is not limited to replacement of existing vapor barrier and damaged insulation, the application of new joint sealing compound to the exterior corner panel joints (Floors 1-12), and the application of concrete sealer to the exterior of the lower tower (Floors 1-12). This Notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned, and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, has programs to assist small businesses, small businesses owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire capital and bonding assistance for transportation-related contracts. This is applicable to any eligible prime or subcontract at any tier. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid, payment, and performance bonds up to $1.0 million per contract. The DOT provides an 80 percent guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against losses. Loans are also available under the DOT short Term receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $750,000.
